About
We got tired of
ordering blind.
Chakhle Raja started as an argument about a menu. It is now a rating system with exactly one unit: the plate in front of you.

Core Thesis
Every dish judged on its own plate
Rank dishes, not doors.
Zero SponsoringOne 40-item menu. Zero idea what was actually worth ordering. That night, Chakhle Raja was born to dismantle blended restaurant star-ratings.
Where it came from
A four point two
and a bad thali.
Every food app in India rates the building. You get one number for a place that might do a superb undhiyu and a genuinely poor paneer tikka, and the number splits the difference between them. Then it hands you a sixty item menu and wishes you luck.
So we moved the unit. On Chakhle Raja a restaurant does not have a rating at all. Its dishes do. Each plate collects its own stars, its own count and its own per-star breakdown, and the only thing a restaurant page tells you is which of its dishes are worth your evening.
That single change fixes both halves of the problem at once. The eater stops guessing. The kitchen stops being judged on its worst afternoon, and starts being known for the one thing it does better than anyone in the city.

Why Gujarat first
Three cities that
do not agree.
Jain and Swaminarayan are not a niche filter here, they are how a large part of the state eats. Building for that properly meant building for Gujarat rather than for a generic Indian city, and Gujarat is not one food culture but several that argue with each other.
- 01
Ahmedabad
Where the argument starts
Old city chaat against Navrangpura thalis, and a Sunday crowd that will drive across the river for the right plate.
- 02
Surat
Owns undhiyu, and knows it
Locho, ghari and a street food culture that treats a queue as an endorsement rather than an inconvenience.
- 03
Vadodara
Quietly the most demanding
Sev usal and a bhojanalay tradition where consistency is the whole reputation and one bad day is remembered for years.
What we are not
Four things this
app will not do.
Not yet, and not quietly later either. If any of these change, this page changes with them.
Deliver your food
There is no delivery fleet and no delivery partner.
Book your table
No reservations, no waitlist, no calling ahead on your behalf.
Take your order
You order from the restaurant, the way you always did.
Handle your payment
No wallet, no checkout, nothing to top up.
The value is knowing what to order before you sit down. That is the entire product, and it is enough.
Not in Gujarat

We open a city when there are enough people in it to make the rankings mean something. Leave your email and the city you want, and you will hear from us the day it opens.
